The Maranatha Reformed Church of Christ will be holding her 13th General Church Assembly (GCA) scheduled as follows:

Dates: Monday, 5 October – Thursday, 8 October 2015

Venue: HeronBridge Retreat in Fourways (Gauteng Province)

Delegation: Ministers, candidate ministers, two delegates from each congregation, one delegate from each mission field, two delegates from each circuit and organ of support nationally and two delegates each from all Synod committees, commissions, boards and task teams

Official opening ceremony at the 13th General Church Assembly (GCA):

The official opening ceremony will be on Tuesday, 6 October 2015 starting from 9h00. All delegates are expected to be in the assembly hall at 8h30, in full church uniform.  Messages of greetings from fraternal friends will be delivered immediately after the church service that will be led by the outgoing Moderator, Prof. Matsobane Manala.

There will be fundraising at the 13th General Church Assembly and it has been planned as follows:- Every circuit is asked to bring an envelope with at least R1 000 inside; Every congregation/mission field is asked to bring an envelope with at least R500 inside; About two hours will be spend on fundraising in the form of “motjekelezo”, whereby each circuit will come with delegates from congregations and mission field within it and assist in raising funds for the National Office; Envelopes from individuals will also be accepted and acknowledged. The fundraising will be on Wednesday, 7th October 2015 at 14H00.
